RATES AND TERMS

THERE IS A CHOICE OF RATE PLANS:
Hourly Rate. All services performed under this plan will be billed weekly. A one hour minimum is required.

Retainer Rates. Lower rates are available depending on the number of hours you require. This guarantees you a block of time every week/month according to our agreement. Unused retainer hours are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Project Rates. Projects are billed at the Hourly Rate but require a 50% deposit of the estimated cost before starting the project. The balance is due upon completion. In the case of a web site, the balance is due before going live.

Please note:
• All work is billed in quarter-hour increments.
• If hand-written or faxed originals are difficult to read or illegible your job will take longer to complete.

Rush / Weekend / Holiday Service add 50% per hour.
Rush service is when you need something within 24 hours or less which must take preference over other clients work in the office. The additional 50% also applies if you request the project be worked on over a weekend or a holiday.

Half-Time Rate. Since it is not possible to know every program or service, I charge half of my rate during the learning curve. We both benefit!

WEB SERVICES
There are two choices for Web Site Development:
Smaller sites (under 10 pages) are billed at the Hourly Rate with a 50% deposit of the estimated cost before starting the project. The balance is due after you've approved all the pages but before the site is made live.
Larger sites (11+ pages) are billed weekly with invoices due upon receipt.

I always hear "but what will it cost?" Here's a way to figure it out. It usually averages about 2-3 hours per page. Some tasks take longer, like the site design, pages with lots of photos or building forms. Some pages are quick, like a Contact Us page. Some developers charge you for every little thing they do. I charge a flat rate. I figure I'm going to save you money and save us both time by not tracking all the nickle and dime stuff — I'm going spend that time working on your website.

The initial consultation is free.
During this meeting I will get a feel for the "look" of your business in order to reflect it in your website. I do not use templates. All sites are unique, designed solely for you and your business. Services included are site design, scanning, photo editing, programming, working with you on keywords, uploading and testing the site. All this goes into creating one page so you can see why it can take 2-3 hours. I can also assist with domain name purchases, hosting and copy writing.

Optional site reports. Reports on hits, popularity of pages, referring sites, search engines and keywords are run bi-weekly and compiled until the end of the quarter to give you enough data to review. At the end of the quarter, the report is completed and printed and mailed with an invoice.

REALTOR SUPPORT AND OTHER SERVICES
These services can be contracted either hourly, on retainer or by the project. Services include Realtor support, desktop publishing, photo scanning, computer support, office support, word processing, internet research, travel arrangements and any other service we agree on.

Estimates vs. Actual Cost
All estimates are given based on the information provided and my experience on how long it should take after reviewing a given project. Some projects will inevitably have something pop up while the job is under way which will make it take longer. Any significant changes will be discussed before going forward. The final invoice reflects the actual time it took to complete the job.

Billing
• Invoices for office services are sent upon the completion of the job and are due and payable within 15 days of the invoice date. In certain cases with office services, a deposit may be required before work can begin.
• Website maintenance is billed at the end of the month.

Additional Billable Items
Additional expenses may be incurred during the course of your job. These could include shipping or postage, software purchased at your request, etc. These items will be added to your invoice at cost.

Method of Payment
Payment may be made by business check, money order, cash or PayPal.

Terms and Conditions
A signed Contract for Services will be REQUIRED BEFORE any work begins.

Proofing
While I do proof my work, the final proofing is the responsibility of the client. Any errors noted within 24 hours from delivery or launch will be corrected free of charge. After that you will be billed at the contracted rate.

Referral Discount
If you refer a friend or associate to Simple Wizardry and they become a client you will receive a discount off your next project.
